Why this exists

The clinic is the last place she wants to be.

For a survivor of sexual assault, the waiting room is not neutral ground. The fluorescent lights, the clipboards, the sympathetic-but-stranger faces — they can feel invasive and scary for her when she's trying to seek safety and comfort.

Her anxiety about going to the clinic can result in delaying testing for sexually transmitted infections, which can quietly cause infertility, ectopic pregnancy, and other lasting harm if left undiagnosed.

We built the Safe Access Program so she never has to make that choice.

How it works

From distribution to treatment —
she is never alone.

01

It starts with someone she can trust

Test kits are available through the Rape, Abuse & Incest National Network (RAINN) — 1,000+ local service providers she already trusts to be in her corner.

02

Her home becomes her clinic

A palm-sized PCR device that tests for chlamydia, gonorrhea, and trichomoniasis. No mailing, no instruments, no one else in the room.

03

An answer in thirty minutes

Lab-quality results appear privately on her phone, in a password-protected app. Over 98% accurate.

04

If she needs it, treatment is there

She has immediate access to a complimentary telehealth visit with a third-party licensed provider who can prescribe what she needs if she has a positive result.

The First Phase

We're starting where the gap is widest — twenty RAINN partner programs in rural and underserved communities, where the nearest clinic can be hours away.

This is where we're starting. Not where we're stopping.

Voices behind the program

“For many survivors, accessing care isn’t just a logistical challenge — it’s an emotional one. Returning to a clinical setting after experiencing sexual violence isn’t always possible. This partnership with Visby provides a more accessible, private option, without requiring survivors to re-enter spaces that may feel overwhelming.”

Megan Cutter
Chief of Victim Services, RAINN

″We built a test as accurate as those in clinical settings, enhanced by a 30-minute turnaround time and direct connections to treatment, if needed. No clinic, no waiting room, no explanation to anyone. Survivors of sexual assault shouldn't have to choose between their privacy and their health.″
